Drake and Future broke the internet when they dropped their free mixtape/album What a Time to Be Alive last night (September 20).
While the project is already receiving critical acclaim, it seems that Drake’s rival Meek Mill is catching the brunt of any negativity surrounding the project.
Pundits are trying to figure out if a few lines on the mixtape from Drake and Future, which features a diamond as the cover art, are directed at Meek Mill.
It seems that Drake and Future’s combined 15 million (mostly Drake) fans have already drawn their own conclusions.
In addition to the usual nasty, yet hilarious “offendtertainment” type of comments, Meek’s Instagram is being bombed with thousands of diamond emojis.
As of press time, Drake’s fans have trolled Meek’s page all the way back to 35 weeks ago.
They have taken control of his Instagram page. Any support for Meek on his page is quickly drowned out by Drake’s fans who are posting the diamond emoji’s by the second, causing the rapper’s Instagram feed move in real-time. No wonder he wanted an option on Instagram to turn off his comments.
Meek’s search appeal seems to be suffering as well according to data pulled from Google Trends. It’s a good time to be alive for Drake and Future, and Meek Mill is going to have to learn how to live with it.
