Facebook’s Revenge Porn Data Base Could Be The Jackpot For Hackers

||

Facebook has established a way to protect people from revenge porn being uploaded to their site.

According to Facebook, they maintain a database which uses matchmaking technology to find and stop the same inappropriate photos and videos from being uploaded over and over.

“Specially trained representatives from our Community Operations team review the image and remove it if it violates our Community Standards,” according to Facebook. “In most cases, we will also disable the account for sharing intimate images without permission. We offer an appeals process if someone believes an image was taken down in error.”

The data collection has ignited a discussion that Facebook has a database full of porn and since the IT industry is made up of mostly males, many think some of these guys may be peeking.

How would we either know or prevent that from happening?

Another topic of discussion was if this kind of database would appeal to hackers who would want to attempt to find vulnerabilities to get to the nudes.

Many are sure that Facebook has enough security to ensure no one’s privacy is compromised.

Others suggest that Facebook should start hiring women because women are the ones disproportionately being affected by revenge porn.
