Asher Roth Moves On From “College” To Start A New Media Empire

Rapper Asher Roth hit the big time with his single ” I Love College.”

The hit single turned Asher Roth into an overnight sensation and the experience took him from sleeping on his friend’s couches in Atlanta while trying to make it as a struggling artist to worldwide fame.

After living in Los Angeles for several years, Asher Roth is back in his hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania?

Asher has parted ways with his powerful manager, Scooter Braun, and he is now charging his own course with a new website.

Asher is the founder of RetroHash, which will be the home of all of the media projects he is working on, from Podcasts to original video series.

“It’s all about fan engagement. I decided that I wanted to create my own sandbox, which is what RetroHash is.” – Asher Roth to The Bucks County Courier Times.

Asher also has a new outlook on life, as well as a new business.

According to Asher, he is back in town tonight only create, but to try and help advance the Philadelphia hip-hop scene.

“I came back to take everything I learned on my journey and instill it with that spirit of Philadelphia,” Asher continued. “This city is amazing. I know that at the end of the day, this is a long-term, sustainable thing we’re building — being homegrown and being about education. I know that it’s going to work. It’s going to take a while, but we’re in it for the long haul.”
