Spotify has launched its first-ever documentary short, which showcases the power of music to unite against social and political injustice.
“I’m with the banned” follows six artists from Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, Yemen and Iran, who have all been affected by President Donald Trump’s travel ban.
The short documentary highlights their challenges and how they overcome obstacles to collaborate with American artists like Desiigner, Pusha T, X Ambassadors, K.Flay, Dr. Lonnie Smith, and BJ The Chicago Kid.
“I’m with the banned” premiered Saturday (October 28) on Spotify.com, while airing simultaneously on Viceland.
