New App Lets You Sign A Contract Before You Get Some

Having sex nowadays has become a risky proposition.

Thanks to sleazebags like Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and James Toback, the issue of sexual assault has become front and center in American consciousness.

A new Dutch company hopes to take some of the legal risk out of having sex.

A company called LegalThings is developing an app, called LegalFlings, which utilizes blockchain technology to allow women and men to enter into a binding contract, before having sex.

“There’s a lot more evidence available to us when people are using these types of apps which can be a good or bad thing depending on whether your story matches up with the data that’s available through the app.” – Attorney Russell Richelsoph

It’s not foolproof, since having sex is such an intimate act that a partner can demand to stop at any point, but it offers up some measure of protection for both parties.
