Trae Tha Truth, his partner DJ Mr. Rogers, and The Relief Gang received some deserved extra assistance in the sum of $20,000 from NFL star Colin Kaepernick.

Kaepernick is on his mission to give away $1 million dollars; organizations identified making real change in their community.

Colin is seen on a video call with Grand Hustle CEO and actor Clifford “Tip” Harris via Instagram to make their announcement.

“Trae’s been boots on the ground ever since the Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, him, Angel By Nature Foundation, Relief Gang, has done so much for so many, that’s the place I know if we put funds there, I know it’s going directly to the people who need it the most.” -Actor and Mogul Clifford “TI” Harris

The Relief Gang and their leaders for the last 150 Days have had one goal, rebuild Texas.

Still adopting homes, he and his team have boots on the ground daily.

They can be found answering emails and Instagram Direct Messages from people still in need of assistance rebuilding their homes or those of their loved ones.

Trae was given the Congressional Hero Award from Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee for his ongoing commitment to help restore normalcy to people affected by Hurricane Harvey.

He also met with Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner aT “The Mayor vs The Council Members Charity Basketball Game,” to officially receive the Key to The City of Houston, initially given to him in the summer at “Trae Day,” a day to give back to the city of Houston.

The rap legend, no stranger to charity, partnered with Cigna and JCPenney to adopt nearly 200 families affected by Hurricane Harvey to give away a $70k shopping spree.

Nearly 1,000 people, parents with their kids in tow, filled the department store with sounds of laughter and tears in search of clothes and household items.
