Everyone is disappointed in Hulk Hogan, who was fired from The WWE.
The wrestler has pretty much ended his own career, thanks to his racist rant in a sex tape he is trying to prevent from coming to light in a lawsuit. His daughter, Brooke, is a recording artist who has released two albums. Hulk referred to Brooke’s boyfriend as a “n***er” in an anger and now the transcripts, which are coming to light, could spell his retirement. Hulk also has valuable holdings outside of wrestling, including a memorabilia, endorsements and a restaurant in Hogan’s Beach, Florida.
“I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n**gers,” Hulk said.
In a statement Hulk expressed remorse, but the reality is, he knew this storm was brewing. But the perverted wrestler did not think his true beliefs would one day be splashed all over the world, thanks to his anger over a raunchy ass sex tape.
“I am disappointed with myself that I used language that is offensive and inconsistent with my own beliefs,” Hulk told TMZ.com. “It is not who I am. I continue to work every day to improve as a person, and this matter is an important learning experience for me in that regard.”
But the WWE has had an issue with race throughout the years. The network has been criticized for its story lines over the decades. So is this strategy backfire against the WWE and other networks who have promoted racism over the years? Including the black wrestlers who have been complicit in the perpetuation of stereotypes?
