In August 2016 don’t be shocked if you walk into class and see students rocking their dildos. It’s not the latest trend in fashion.
Believe it or not, the “Campus (DILDO) Carry” project’s (#CocknotGlocks) upcoming dildo invasion on a college campus (and maybe others since going viral) is not a form of sexual expression, it is a protest of gun laws, taking place at University of Texas-Austin next year.

As we’ve previously reported, legislation is rolling through Congress in an attempt to loosen the gun regulations on college campuses in 15 states.
A student named Jessica Jin at the University of Texas-Austin realized that “sexually indecent objects” were banned on the campus. She could not help but notice the irony, since students and faculty members will be able to carry legally concealed firearms on August 1, 2016.
Jessica Jin said almost 10,000 people are planning on attending the protest. And Jin has already gotten so many threats from gun nuts over the proposed protest that she has contacted the Austin Police Department.
“They’re calling for my head. People want me dead for a dildo,” Jessica Jin told The Houston Chronicle. “It’s the type of reaction that we could only hope to see from them when they hear of a child being gunned down in a classroom. It’s a little scary and absurd, but it still sounds like progress to me.”
It is going to be a spectacle and funny to watch police chase thousands of protesters around campus with dildos. And that’s the point according to Jin.
“I need this proliferation of dildos to offer people a visual representation of what it would be like if we all carried guns. It should look ridiculous to you. That is the point. This is America; if guns and bloodshed don’t wake people up, a public celebration of sexuality may just do the trick. We’re going to need a lot of dildos.”
