This week, students at Harvard will have one thing on their mind – sex.
Students at Harvard created the campus-wide event to explore love, sex, sexuality, gender identity, and relationships.
“As an annual campuswide collaborative effort, Sex Week is positioned to actively engage Harvard students in embracing, thinking about, and discussing their experiences with their own sexualities,” the University said in a statement.
The week kicked off yesterday (November 8) on campus at Holden Chapel, where there was a film screening. And a massive raffle of sex toys and safe sex supplies. For the rest of the week, students will talk to experts in a dialogue about some subjects relating to health, psychology and sexuality.
Panels like “Feeling Myself: Conversations About Masturbation,” will discuss self-pleasure while Q&A’s like “But How Do I?” will answer questions for students attending.
There’s also panels on feminist porn, sex toys and even one called “Work Hard, Fuck Hard: The Guide to BDSM in the College Dorm Room.”
Sex Week is organized by Sex Health Education and Advocacy Throughout Harvard College (S Heath), which is a student-run organization.
If you’re interested, the event is taking place on Harvard’s campus, and it is free and open to anyone who wants to come.
“Our goal is to connect diverse individuals and communities both within and be on Harvard through common human experiences with love, sex, sexuality, and relationships,” reps for SHEATH explained.
