R.I.P. Blowfly: The Dirtiest Remakes Of Your Favorite Songs

Blowfly – On TV

The world lost one of the greatest comedians recently, when Clarence “Blowfly” Reid passed away at the age of 79, thanks to liver cancer.

You might see the funny images of him and wonder who the hell this guy is dressed as a supervillain.

Well, he’s one of the more sampled artists who came out of the 1960’s and 70’s, thanks to his run of XXX rated albums.
Artists like Ol’ Dirty Bastard, The Pharcyde, Snoop Dogg and The Jurassic 5 have sampled bits and pieces of Blowfly, who also enjoyed a real career as a songwriter under his real name, Clarence Reid.
Don’t get it twisted. Blowfly could write real songs too. He wrote and produced tracks for Betty Wright, K.C. and The Sunshine Band, Sam & Dave and others.
Blowfly really flexes his chops on the records below, which we believe showcases his best writing and his great singing voice. Be prepared, after Blowfly’s versions of these particular songs, you will never hear them the same when they “pop up” on the radio.

Without Your Pussy I Can’t Live – Oldies But Goodies

Blowfly attacks Little Richard’s classic rocker, “Lucille.” On this tune, Blowfly offers up a hilarious take on the rather serious subject matter, STD’s. In this song, “Lucille” gives Blowfly syphilis, but her coochie is so good, he still can’t resist her charms.

Spermy Night in Georgia – Weird World

Here, Blowfly remakes Brook Benton’s classic song “Rainy Night in Georgia.” Blowfly manages to take Benton’s sad, depressing song and insert an insane amount of humor into it. For instance, Blowfly takes Benton’s original lines:

Hoverin’ by my suitcase, tryin’ to find a warm place to spend the night/Heavy rain fallin’, seems I hear your voice callin’ “It’s all right”/ A rainy night in Georgia, a rainy night in Georgia

Blowfly raunchifies Brook Benton’s lyrics into this:

Going to buy me a rubber/Trying to find some warm cover/To fuck tonight/I gotta get a nut before morning/Gonna have some bitches moaning and groaning all through the night/
It’s gonna be a spermy night in Georgia

“Mammy Told Me (Not to Come)” – On TV

On Blowfly’s remake of 3 Dog Night’s “Mama Told Me (Not to Come),” our nasty hero finds himself inside the freakiest house you can imagine on “Mammy Told Me” Inside of this house, Blowfly stumbles into BDSM, bestiality and homosexuality, all taking place in in what actually sounds like a fun place to be.

“The First Time Ever You Sucked My Dick” – Zodiac

On this track, Blowfly gets the ladies screaming with his rendition of Roberta Flack’s “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.” On Blowfly’s version, he pays respect to his girlfriend and her ability to give a great blowjob. Stay tuned until the middle of the track, when Blowfly speeds up the groove and gets funkier than the pussy he sings about.

Jingle Bells (Jingle Balls)

What would Christmas be without Blowfly? He takes the holiday classic “Jingle Bells” and turns it into an opportunity to explore masturbation. It’s hilarious, with the chorus extolling the value of jerking off on Christmas Eve and how fun it is to cum all over Santa’s sleigh.
