Nation's First Opioids Court Is Already Producing Results

Buffalo, New York could help revolutionize the way the United States deals with the opioid epidemic that is sweeping the country.
Between heroin and painkillers, most states in the US have dealt with massive numbers of overdoses each month.
Some states or even planning to sue Big Pharma, for causing the opioid crisis.
Buffalo has created the first ever opioid crisis intervention court, which can get users into treatment within hours of their arrest.
“The idea behind it is only about how many people are still breathing each day when we’re finished,” said court project director Jeffrey Smith.
The court is already producing some impressive results.
