Baltimore, Maryland boxing phenomenon Gervonta Davis is about to become a household name.
That’s because the boxer, who is signed to Floyd Mayweather’s Mayweather Promotions, is one of the top draws on the undercard for the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight.
There must be unbelievable pressure on Gervonta, who will not only fight in front of a record-setting crowd, but he also must defeat his unnamed opponent.
However, the 22-year-old boxer seems to be taking the matching stride, and is extremely upbeat and looking forward to his big night on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight on August 26.
“It’s amazing, and I’m only at 18 fights. I don’t really think it’s sunk in yet, till I actually be at the fight and see the numbers and walk out and see the crowd about to go crazy,” Gervonta said. “I’m fighting right before him, and there’s going to be a lot of people in the building.”
Gervonta also gave his prediction for the night, and of course, he has his money on Floyd.
“I actually was training with Floyd when he started camp. He’s looking great,” Gervonta explained. “I believe it’s going to be an early night.”
