Here Are Michelle Obama's Tips To Not Play Yourself On Social Media

For 11 minutes, there was peace in the world last week.

At least in the world of social media, that is, where president Donald Trump reigns as Twitter’s current King.

The 45th President’s controversial Twitter account was deleted by a rogue employee, on her last day of working for the social media giant.
The incident brought the security of Donald Trump’s Twitter account into question since it’s mainly used for divisive purposes.
During a speech at the Obama Foundation’s inaugural Summit in Chicago, President Trump’s nemesis, former First Lady Michelle Obama broke down some of the rules of engagement for Twitter.
According to Michelle, Twitter is not the place to express unfiltered thoughts.
“When you have a voice, you can’t just use it any kind of way,” Michelle Obama explained. “This whole telling it like it is business, that’s nonsense. You don’t just say what’s on your mind, you don’t just tweet every thought.”
Mrs. Obama believes that “telling it like it is” just a euphemism for being crude.
Check out for tips from Michelle Obama on how to use Twitter and not come across like an a-hole.

1. Think First, Tweet later

“Most of your initial thoughts are not worthy of the light of day,” Michelle Obama explained.

2. Twitter Is Powerful, Use It Wisely

“Social media? That is a powerful weapon that we just hand over to little kids,” Michelle Obama said. “You need to think, spell it right and have good grammar too.”

3. Words Matter

“That doesn’t mean anybody in this room is free to be careless with words and how they debate,” Michelle Obama said. “You can’t just slash-and-burn up folks because you think you are right.”
