If you are running a business, you know how important social media is when it comes to reaching customers.
It doesn’t matter if you are a mom-and-pop operation or a big brand. The problem with social media is that it really is an around-the-clock operation.
So when is the best time to reach customers?
You can’t expect the traditional 9 to 5, 8-hour shift concept to work when it comes to engaging thousands of your customers.
Thankfully, big data is analyzing social media platforms like Instagram in order to get a better understanding of how businesses can best benefit from using these platforms.
According to a new study released by an app called Later, the best time to post to Instagram is the middle of the night.
Reps for Later analyzed 61,000 different posts to figure out when was the best time to post to the social network.
“Although it varies heavily depending on who your followers are and what they do, on average it pays to post at either 2 am or 5 pm.,” the study revealed.
The study said these hours were optimal times because users feeds were less cluttered, and only the most engaged users were using Instagram during this time frame.
