Will These Lab Made Diamonds Finally Be Good Enough For Rappers?

In Hip-Hop culture, anything fake is shunned, whether it’s the personality, sneakers and especially jewelry.
Lots of rappers have been called out for wearing fake diamonds.
In fact, Lil pump recently flossed his jewelry collection and blasted all the rappers who are adorning themselves phony bling.

But all of that could change, thanks to the world’s biggest diamond maker.
De Beers Group just started a new company called Lightbox Jewelry, which intends to redefine lab-made diamonds.
Lightbox will offer buyers high-quality, fashion jewelry designs at lower costs than existing lab-grown diamond offerings.

“Lightbox will transform the lab-grown diamond sector by offering consumers a lab-grown product they have told us they want but aren’t getting: affordable fashion jewelry that may not be forever but is perfect for right now. – Bruce Cleaver, CEO, De Beers Group.
The line will emphasize pink, blue and white lab-grown diamonds and a range of accessibly-priced earring and necklace designs.
The Lightbox lab-grown diamonds will sell from $200 for a quarter-carat stone to $800 for a one-carat stone.
Just keep your jewels away from Lil Pump: any Lightbox lab-grown diamonds of 0.2 carats or above will carry a permanent Lightbox logo inside the stone.
The logo is invisible to the naked eye but easily identified under magnification, and will clearly identify the stone as lab-grown.
