Melissa Keklak, The Woman Powering Blac Youngsta's Heavy Camp Label

Everybody’s favorite entertainer and hip hop artist Blac Youngsta has been keeping his name in the headlines, just releasing his newest mixtape project that landed at #3 on the All-Genre Apple Music Charts and recent product collaboration with Ethika.
He is also CEO to Heavy Camp, a label imprint founded by Youngsta.
Now, he is expanding further on his label initiatives and has appointed Melissa Keklak, owner and founder of popular Los Angeles based Music PR firm President of Heavy Camp.
As founder and CEO of MMKpr, Melissa has changed the game when it comes to music management and artist PR/digital marketing.
She started her career as the Director of PR & Artist Relations at Casio America, where she spearheaded campaigns with Kanye West, Ke$ha and Lady Gaga to name a few.
That role launched her desire to work in both the music industry and directly with artist talent, and she went on to create one of the most successful PR firms that specializes in music, lifestyle and entertainment publicity.

After five years at Casio, Melissa Keklak moved to Los Angeles and established MMKpr in 2011.
The first campaign the agency secured was Mountain Dew and Lil Wayne’s DEWeezy campaign, which not only broke media impression records for the brand, but also elevated Lil Wayne to mainstream music status, paving the way for multiple deals for the artist.
In addition to owning the PR agency Melissa Keklak currently manages West Coast hip hop artist Problem and Producer Diego Ave who recently scored placements on Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys and Rae Sremmurd’s SR3MM.
Keklak will work alongside Heavy Camp CEO Blac Youngsta to help build and expand his label, as well as oversee Youngsta’s day to day business and talent career.
