Quality Control Label Bosses Heading To Prison – For A Good Cause

Inmates to Entrepreneurs is bringing its 26 years of experience to Atlanta to help local residents who have been judicially involved learn the skills needed to start, run, and grow their own businesses.
The Inmates to Entrepreneurs #SecondChances Atlanta Conference will feature a keynote address by Pierre “Pee” Thomas and Kevin “Coach K” Lee, founders of hip-hop’s record-breaking label, Quality Control Music, and Billboard’s 2018 “Executives of the Year.”

”This program is very real to me as I look at my own rise from being behind bars to sitting in boardrooms and up at podiums receiving awards from Billboard and Variety. I want to help people get a second chance after some mistakes. I want to help empower my community by being a testament of hard work and determination through entrepreneurship and getting a real shot at being the best I can be.” – CEO Pee, Quality Control Music

One in three adults in the United States has a criminal record. Tech entrepreneur Brian Hamilton, founder of Inmates to Entrepreneurs and the Brian Hamilton Foundation, is working to help them find a path to financial security.
“It is difficult for people with criminal records to obtain employment. Inmates to Entrepreneurs aims to give people a second chance by helping them start their own businesses rather than relying on a system that is not working for them,” Brian Hamilton said.
The organization’s #SecondChances Atlanta Conference on January 26 will provide the basics of how to start and grow a company, with topics ranging from the type of company to start all the way through to making a profit.
The event is open to anyone with a criminal record who is looking for a second chance.
Quality Control’s Thomas and Lee will keynote the event and share some of what they have learned about entrepreneurship through launching one of the world’s hottest hip-hop labels.
Quality Control has shot to the top of charts with groups such as Migos, currently the number one rap group in the world.
“We all come across roadblocks in life and some decisions and circumstances can put us in very harsh places. That should never stop you from moving forward with growth and actually achieving your goals and getting a second chance to better yourself and make a great life for you and your family,” noted Coach K. “I want to keep that word and energy out there for those who want to hear and accept it.”
