Former NFL Star Tamba Hali Went To The Hardest Part Of Liberia To Shoot His Video

Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker, Tamba Hali, released the official video for his Pillz-assisted track, “Puna Ni Ni.”
Exclusively premiered via Arikanza.com, the Sesan-directed video finds Tamba visiting his homeland of Liberia to reconnect with his people and dance to the infectious afrobeat vibe.

“We made this video in the toughest part of Liberia, the heart of the country,” Tamba revealed to Afikanza.com. “I was able to connect with the locals and vibe with my countrymen and never felt threaten. Being around the locals and feeling how they embraced me was the best part about making this video.”
“Puna Ni Ni” is Tamba’s latest release since his debut EP “Tamba Juice.”
On “Tamba Juice,” Hali showcases his versatility as an artist. He croons over breezy, beach-vibe productions on topics of love and lust on tracks like “Everyday” featuring African superstar Runtown, “Drive You” and “Just U,” while not forgetting to have fun on “Bad Like Dat” feat. MasterKraft and “Walamkolombo.”
The video for the EP’s single, “Oh My Gawd,” garnered almost 275K views since release in June.
Since the release of his track “Chief,” dedicated to the only team he’s ever known The Kansas City Chiefs (September 2017,) the Liberian-born athlete began seriously pursuing his passion for music.
Tamba is now a successful Afrobeat artist in his own right.
His 2017 release “The One For Me” reached #65 on Billboard’s Urban chart and the video for the EP’s first single, “Samba,” quickly garnered over 330K views upon release.
Now, having released his first EP, “Tamba Juice,” and prepared to release fresh content all 2019, Tamba Hali is poised to be remembered as not only a renowned athlete, but also a prolific recording artist.
