Chief Keef – “Hand Made”
It’s been a rough year for Chief Keef. He lost his good friend Fredo Santana, his baby mama put him on blast and he was shot at by Tekashi 6ix9ine’s goons while he was in New York. None of that was enough to keep the rapper from finishing his latest album Mansion Musick. The 11-track album features one guest appearance from Playboi Carti. The standout track from this album is “Hand Made.” “Letter” is pretty good too.
Wiz Khalifa – “Fr Fr” Featuring Lil Skies
Wiz Khalifa gives his fans a lot to digest with his new album Rolling Papers 2. The album is stacked with 25 songs and features from Curren$y, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, Swae Lee, Lil Skies and the late Jimmy Wopo. Wiz drops a few bangers but “Fr Fr” featuring Lil Skies goes hard.
Childish Gambino – “Feels Like Summer”
Earlier this week, Childish Gambino dropped the new “Summer Pack” EP on Spotify. This two-track EP was made specifically for the season, and fans should enjoy cruising to “Summer Pack” on those cool nights, after long hot sweltering days.
Left Brain – “Out The Way” featuring Ldog and Takeflight
Odd Future member Left Brain returns with a 12-track effort called Mind Gone Vol. 2. Almost every song on this album features a guest appearance, and they are welcomed. Smoke DZA, Jay Worthy and Santana Ali check in to help Left Brain on his newest release. However, the best track is a solo effort titled “Out The Way.”
Mac Miller – “Self Care”
Thankfully, Mac Miller is behind the microphone instead of drunk behind the wheel of his car. Earlier this week, Mac revealed he was releasing a new album titled Swimming. The album could have some dark overtones, since his breakup with Ariana Grande, who immediately became engaged, right after their relationship ended. In the video for “Self Care,” Mac Miller digs himself out of a coffin.
